Stephen R. Ratliff - President
Stephen joined Southern Rehabilitation Network in December of 2018 as Vice President and was promoted to President in 2020. He brings over 30 years of health care operations and business development experience to the organization.
During his career, he has provided respiratory care services for patients in the hospital and home setting; worked in hospital system business development, marketing, and sales; negotiated medical practice acquisitions, and developed, marketed, and managed hospital-based occupational medicine programs; marketed and managed a regional medical case management and vocational rehabilitation firm, serving workers’ compensation carriers and self-insureds.
As President, Stephen is responsible for the strategic growth and profitability of Southern Rehabilitation Network and maintaining its founders’ goal of getting people back to a productive life and carrying out Southern’s mission of serving as the premier provider of vocational and medical restoration throughout the company’s ever-expanding service area.

Joy Donaldson - Vice President
Joy joined Southern Rehabilitation Network in March of 2018 as Human Resource Specialist and was promoted to Human Resource Manager later that year. In 2021, Joy was promoted to Vice President. She brings over 20 years of comprehensive human resource experience to the organization from both the healthcare and workforce sectors.
Over the course of her career, Joy has refined her human resource knowledge and skills by working in the roles of HR Generalist and Supervisor for teaching hospitals from central Florida to Washington, DC. Joy supervised teams of healthcare recruiters and coordinators for a major Florida healthcare system and has also served as manager for a publicly funded program assisting veterans, unemployed, and welfare recipients with return to work.
Joy’s passion is people, which makes her a perfect fit for her responsibilities at Southern as Vice President and Human Resource Manager.

Jane Rouse, RN, MS, CCM, CRC, CDMS, LPC - Former President and Co-Founder
As a Co-founder, Jane retired at the end of 2020 after 32 years of dedicated service.

Karen Smith, RN, BSN, COHN-S - Clinical Consultant
Karen joined Southern Rehabilitation Network in January 2019.
Karen brings over 35 years of experience as a nursing professional to the organization in the areas of case management, legal nurse consulting, Occupational Health and Safety, Workers Compensation, and injury management. Most recently, Karen served as Nurse Consultant for the North Carolina Industrial Commission.
As Clinical Consultant, Karen is responsible for working with the Medical Supervisors and Case Management Team to provide clinical oversight of the case management function.

Cyndi Reaves - Billing Manager
Cyndi has been with Southern Rehab since 1991.
She has previous billing experience in a hospital/medical setting. She maintains attendance at area workshops regarding computer and billing technology to enhance her expertise.

Dawne Terry - Executive Secretary
Dawne has been with Southern Rehab since 2003.
She has 30 years of experience in administrative assistance with additional expertise in customer service, computer data entry and Time Matters data system.

Mary Pisani, M.Ed. - Supervisory Assistant
Mary has been with Southern Rehab since 2007.
She has 30+ years of experience in the rehab field, having worked as a certified vocational case manager and as a case manager in a rehab hospital. She has done private counseling and worked with the mentally ill.

Terri Williams - Administrative Assistant
Terri joined Southern Rehab in 2016.

Tracy Campbell, BS - Account Representative, Central and Western North Carolina
Tracy brings 20 years of experience in the Carolinas’ workers’ compensation arena to Southern Rehab Network. She began at The Rehab Center in 1998 and has achieved success in various roles since then, most recently with Learning Services. Tracy currently serves as the Secretary of the SCWCEA, she is a member of the Carolinas IARP Conference planning committee, and most recently, she served as past President of the NCARP. She has worked extensively in the Carolinas’ workers’ compensation industry with providers, case managers, attorneys and adjusters.
Tracy’s experience with chronic pain patients and the multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation (for pain and TBIs) gives her an ideal position to market the case management services of Southern Rehab Network.

Lee Lyon, RN, M.Ed., CCM - Account Representative Central and Eastern North Carolina
Lee has been with Southern Rehab since November 2005.
Lee understand the needs of insurance adjusters having served as both a rehabilitation nurse and account representative for more than 10 years. She has expertise in orthopaedics, mental health and traumatic brain injury.
